Together with the Lions Relief Organization Straubing and the Freitag car dealership, the SENNEBOGEN Foundation is supporting the purchase of a new vehicle for the “Haus für das Leben” association. The three partners shared the cost of a Dacia Jogger, which has now been officially handed over to those responsible for the residential group for mothers and children.
The new vehicle was urgently needed: The previous minibus had been in service for about 17 years and, due to its age, could no longer be relied upon for long-term use. Going forward, the Dacia Jogger will be available to employees for, among other things, accompanying them to appointments, running necessary errands, and group outings.
Since 1979, the “Haus für das Leben” association has been dedicated to helping people in difficult life situations. Its full-time residential mother-and-child group provides young mothers and fathers, along with their children, with a safe living environment and comprehensive educational support. The goal is to support young families in building a path toward an independent life.
The services include, among other things, assistance with caring for and raising the children, with school and career-related issues, and with practical aspects of daily life. A structured daily routine, educational programs, and child-friendly recreational activities are also important components of the care provided.
A reliable vehicle is essential for this work. It not only makes it easier to organize daily life, but also enables residents to attend important appointments and participate in community activities.
At the official handoff ceremony, Tamara Murrer, director of the mother-child residential group, accepted the car keys. Together with the association’s chairwoman, Dr. Regine Langer-Huber, she thanked the supporters involved.
Through its contribution, the SENNEBOGEN Foundation aims to strengthen the association’s valuable work and help ensure the facility’s long-term mobility. This joint effort also demonstrates how regional partners can work together to provide concrete and sustainable assistance.
